You fell for a mockumentary :eyes:

Here's some of the other 'persons' interviewed, courtesy of IMDB:
Jack Torrance - from The Shining (1980)
David Bowman - from 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
Dimitri Muffley - from Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) (a combination of the names of the two presidents)
Eve Kendall - from North by Northwest (1959)
Marla Vargas - from The Barefoot Contessa (1954)
Ambrose Chapel - centre of the spies' activity in The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)
W.A. Koenigsberg - a play on Woody Allen's (W.A.) real name, Allen Stuart Koenigsberg.

The clip was taken from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0344160/

6. Opération lune... interesting.
Have you figured out what the point of the movie is yet, defendandprotect?

A comment from IMDB:

I first watched this movie in in my school here in little Norway (Media and Communications line).

At first it was the little things, that was completely believable, and I was convinced. It went deeper and deeper, and stretched it far. To a point where it was absolutely absurd. I mean, the CIA agents that littered a small Island with MCdonaldsfood and whatnot. BUT, I was so "captured" by the movie that I had lost all sense of criticism. I bought it, almost completely. Then it was revealed. It is not real...

So, we talked about the movie.
It displays how easily a person can be manipulated by media, how things can be faked, displayed on a certain way so that people are led on to believe certain things.

The most important lesson one learns from this movie, is to be critical to everything you read, take everything with a pinch of salt. Don`t believe everything you hear/read. Even if it seems to be real.

So everyone that says it`s just a joke, for fun. You`ve missed the point of the movie. It has a message, that really has nothing to do with the content or story of the movie. It has to do with how it`s displayed.

It`s one of the most creative and clever "documentaries" I`ve seen. It really made my head spin around and gave me some serious thinking.
I would recommend this to everyone, there is A LOT of *beep* going around, on the internet, in the TV, newspapers, everywhere, learn to be critical.

8. D&P has a "worldview"?

I don't give it that much credit, Flatsie.

Not since I learned that HAARP is interfering with chemtrail dispersal.

10. It's interesting disinfo... subjects spammed up with disinfo usually have a grain of truth to them
Edited on Tue Mar-02-10 09:16 PM by CrunchMaster
Where there is smoke there is a fire.

Any time you see a title like:
"MOON HOAX ! RUSSIAN KGB DENOUNCES THE LIE !"

Then put your disinfo filters on. "Russian" associations to a claimed moon hoax video probably means that somewhere in the Apollo landing there is something that has been covered up over the years. The best way to keep that something covered up is to shit a UFOs+Russians haze all over it.

What is much more interesting is why would the Russians(or the American Reich Wing) want to shit disinfo all over the Apollo moon landings. Or for that manner Oswald and the JFK assassination? Any subject matter up to its neck in disinfo(911, JFK assassination, Apollo projects) is a subject that has a certain number of lies around it that are being covered up with the disinfo.

Anytime you see a crazy conspiracy theory with UFO and Russian all over it then keep an eye on it to see if the thing being covered up might leak through. It's probably a conspiracy theory that has some grain of truth and secrets to it.. otherwise people would not be repeatedly spamming it with disinfo.

11. So if I get your drift
Mockumentaries with UFO's and Russians are indicators of a cover-up?

I have to admit I'm at a loss for words.

13. It's not disinfo at all.
Edited on Tue Mar-02-10 10:09 PM by greyl
It's making a point about the necessity of keeping ones critical wits when filtering new information, especially when it's in film or video form. Since the film includes a statement about its true intentions, it can't be considered disinfo.

If you want to be truthful about it, your statement "Where there is smoke there is a fire" is disinfo, since it's untrue.

Because the multiple birther theories are nuttier than squirrel droppings.
