Cheney was in his West Wing office when he received word that a plane had struck the World Trade Center. He watched TV and hoped that his instincts were wrong.

"It was a clear day, there were no weather problems, and then we saw the second airplane hit in real time," Cheney told CNN's John King in an interview in the vice president's office.

"At that moment, you knew this was a deliberate act. This was a terrorist act."

He called President Bush in Florida and spoke with top aides. Then his door burst open.

"My agent all of a sudden materialized right beside me and said, 'Sir, we have to leave now.' He grabbed me and propelled me out of my office, down the hall, and into the underground shelter in the White House," Cheney said.

Slowly the real facts bleed out. It must have been at or before 9:05 that Cheney got whisked away to safety. Right then if he was really not involved, he should have taken control. Since he didn't, it pretty much proves he was already controlling the operation.

6. Bush & Cheney's versions differ quite a bit.. but no one notices

Cheney's account says that *he* called Bush right after the 2nd tower was hit. According to 911timeline.net, Bush and Cheney spoke at 9:23 am. If that timeline is correct, what did Cheney do for 20 minutes while America was under attack? We know what Bush did, he sat in a classroom with a stupid look on his face.

And it is one the supporters of the OCT, if there are any left, have a hard time answering. Bush and Cheney may have answered it but their testimony is a secret.

The best I can determine is that Cheney was left to control what was going on with defense forces. Rumsfeld was told to lay low and say on the other side of the pentagon. And the Air force white 747 flying over the capitol was coordinating the attack from the air.

That's the best I can make out of what was going on in DC that morning. Certainly what the commission tells us aren't the facts.
