Part 1 of this Link TV special hosted by Peter Coyote features 9/11 Press for Truth, a powerful documentary about a small group of grieving families who waged a tenacious battle against those who sought to bury the truth about 9/11. Six of them for the first time the powerful story of how they took on the greatest powers in Washington — and won! — compelling an investigation, only to subsequently watch the 9/11 Commission fail in answering most of their questions.

Adapting Paul Thompson’s Complete 9/11 Timeline (published by HarperCollins as "The Terror Timeline"), the filmmakers collaborated with documentary veterans Globalvision ("WMD: Weapons of Mass Deception," "Beyond JFK") to stitch together rare overlooked news clips, buried stories, and government press conferences, revealing a pattern of official lies, deception and spin. As a result, a very different picture of 9/11 emerges, one that raises new and more pressing questions.

I did a half hour interview in the studio with actor Peter Coyote (who, by the way, is a very cool liberal activist kind of guy). I thought the interview went very well. It'll be shown interspersed between the film, from what I'm told. Like, they show 30 minutes of film, then cut to 10 minutes of interview, then back to the film, etc... This is a special thing during their pledge drive (Coyote makes a couple of mentions to donate but it's not too bad). Then I'm told they'll show the film some more through April without the interruption of the interview.

Either way, you should definitely check it out. And I was very impressed with Link TV, esp. that they don't take ANY money from corporate or government grants. It's all from viewer donations. As several execs told me off the air, that's probably why they're the only network in the US not afraid to show Press for Truth.

(As a side note, a few months ago I did a TV interview with a 9/11 victim's relative in connection with the release of Press for Truth. Before we went on, the handlers at the station repeatedly told us not to be "too controversial." They explained how not that long ago they had someone on who was very critical of Bush and they quickly cut to a commercial and implied the same could happen to us. The cowardice of the mainstream media today is just sad.)

Link TV sounds pretty cool. And the M$M stinks like rotten rats caught in a trap for 5 years.

Gawd, do I feel for the Families. All they want are a few simple questions answered so they can begin to heal, and all they get is a runaround. Why? What is being kept from them? Well, some of us are critical thinkers enough that we can at least try to get to the bottom of what really happened.

And we will. That is, if we haven't already.
