A small anecdote exemplifying the rot in our culture
I'm watching Monday Night Football tonight , and during an ESPN 'news' break-in, there was a short report on the ugly brawl between the University of Miami and Florida International University on Saturday.

The newscaster said that while a few players will be suspended and two others were kicked off one of the teams, "no one will lose their job" over the incident.

So let's take a step back here a moment. When a group of hopped-up-on-emotion adolescent football players who are trained to play the most violent of sports get in a brawl before one of their games, that is cause for news commentators and pundits to opine that their coaches should be fired (and, of course, when it is predominantly black players fighting, all the more reason).

Yet when, on the official version of events, when a $500 billion per annum military/intelligence fails to keep 3,000 of its people from being incinerated by aircraft turned into weapons, it's hardly worthy of comment that not only wasn't anyone prosecuted or fired for this failure, but no one was even reprimanded but several were in fact promoted!

We can't even get a mainstream news commentator to say with conviction that any high officials should have been fired for their 'failure' on 9/11.

No conspiracy here. Just the ordinary, everyday, sickening, misguided double-standard moralism of our racist society. The same kind that first foments and then excuses a UT law school's repulsive "ghetto fabulous" party as mere youthful exuberance.

1. MSM knows 9/11 was an inside job & if they didn't support it, they WOULD

call the Administration to task.

5. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
What the fuck do you mean by "MSM knows 9/11 was an inside job"???????????????

WHO KNOWS? Bob Schieffer? Katy Couric? Bob Woodward? The editorial board of the NYT? The head of ABC news? The columnists at the LA Times? Wolf Blitzer? Keith Olbermann? Who is this "MSM" you are referring to?

Your contention is that these people know 9/11 was an inside job, but are sitting on it because they are part of the grand conspiracy...So...

What is your evidence to support this contention?

How did these people become so corrupted?

Why has none of them busted the story open?

Who told them about the "inside job"?

You say "MSM": what percentage of them? And at what level of seniority? WHat about the mail boy in the CNN newsroom? Does he know?

If I got a job at CBS news tomorrow, would I be "let in" on the secret? (I am a TV professional BTW).

Jesus fucking Christ. I am so sick of this intellectual atavism.

Please answer my questions.

6. Sorry to butt in...
We know for a fact that the CIA has infiltrated the news media via Operation Mockingbird. WE also know that for news to be managed it only needs to be controlled through the managing editors who make decisions on what airs and what doesn't.

Dan Rather's pillorying over the alleged unverified evidence of Bush's AWOL from the Alabama ANG was ample evidence of the price to be paid for reporting inconvenient stories.

Sometime a "cover-up" can be accomplished by litterally covering up and event in a torrent of information, dis-information and mis-leading information, lies, half truths and innacuracies, editorial comment, etc. Much like we have today regarding the 911 attacks.

John McCain has just chimed in against the "conspiracy theorists" in an article in Popular Mechanics. Just his appearance as a spokes person for the reasonable and official version of events shows how disturbed the powers that be are over the continuing controversy. The same kind of thing happened after the JFK murder. WHich brings up the point: this conspiracy (911) has been preceded by others like JFK, MLK, RFK all of which have been controversial for the same reasons: the facts don't adequately explain the event! They were all covered over with an official explanation that left the central questions about the murders unanswered and in most cases unasked, exactly like 911.

SO, CT will always be with us not as a paranoid reaction from fringe members of society, but as a reaction to government secrecy and unwillingness to conduct real criminal investigations by unbiased and professional investigators when great public crimes are committed!

7. The U.S. has interfered (via CIA & others) in many places. Just two days

ago, Jeb Bush signed a political advertisement placed in a prominent newspaper in Nicaragua designed to scare off voters from supporting Daniel Ortega in next week's presidential election there.
See http://counterpunch.org/beachy10312006.html

Philip Agee wrote a book about how the U.S. undermines progressive political movements and elections in South America. See: "The Company", by Philip Agee (former CIA agent stationed in South America)

The U.S. spent $20 million (1964 dollars) to undermine the election of Salvador Allende in the 1964 Presidential election there. See: http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Blum/Chile_KH.html

It's naive to think they don't do the same thing in the United States. Look at all the Disinfo and Propaganda we're bombarded with about 9/11; blaming Osama bin Laden for a U.S. sponsored false flag operation.

11. Well for one thing

to quote Janet Reno's most favorite wording - "We will never ever know" if Mary Mapes and Dan Rather would someday have broken this sotry wide open.

They did attempt to break open the story on George W's pathetic military record.

And the duo recieved a Peabody award for their exposing the situation at Abu Gharib.

But it was important that their a**es get canned, because the story they were planning next - right after the Bush military record tale was reporting on the machinery that was going to deliver the state of Florida to Bush a second time.

You don't support this administration - no way will you be at Fox, CBS, NBC or ABC.

2. So true.
whatever you think of 9-11, you would have to agree, that those who job it is to protect US citizens did not do it that day. But, no one ever says anything on the mainstream news. That part alone is evidence of a media which is just propaganda for those in power.

3. Welcome to BizarroWorld.
Where the grossest of incompetance is grounds for high public office. Where people like Henry Kissenger, who previously failed on a level unprecedented in human history, are invited to try again. Where pederasts are put in charge of hunting child predators, morons run the intelligence agencies, and neo-fascists are in charge of civil rights.

4. Tune in, and please don't drop out this election
Hope people will watch closely. Hope people will monitor the results from the independent exit polling (www.electiondefensealliance.org). Hope those who can donate to the cause will do so.

We need to know what went down before the corporate media spin hits. Being a citizen has seldom been so important.

Best to all :)
