Judge, prosecutor and hangman

Ahmed Shahrour was shot dead at short range in the heart of Ramallah; Kaid Abu Shalbiya was similarly murdered. In the Palestinian police, there is unwillingness to investigate who carries out the murder of suspected collaborators, let alone bring them to justice. So who will impose law and order?

On Thursday, August 7, Ahmed Shahrour, 26, was
murdered in the heart of the city of Ramallah. At
around 4:30 P.M., as he was walking past the Post
Office building, three masked men dressed in black
came up to him, grabbed him and pushed him into a
Jeep. From there they drove to the main street and
between the shwarma stand and the ice cream parlor
shot him several times at close range. According
to one version, they declared they were from the
Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, and that he was
executed because he had collaborated with the
Israeli occupier. According to another version,
they left behind flyers bearing a similar message.
From the many bullets that ricocheted in all
directions a woman, a man and two children,
passersby who happened into the confusion that
occurred in the street, were lightly injured.

I think it's time to talk about the bush/arafat similarities.
They both have like minds about getting rid of their "enemies"

1. But Bush
is a patient man, the one that is furthering peace in the Middle East. I do not understand your insinuations.

But seriously - collaborators are executed in any war.

6. thanks for the input...
but I wasn't asking about that. Nor was the article about "blowing up busses".

So, avoiding that pointless detour and getting back to the topic, it's more than a little ironic that anyone from the Israeli Amen-corner would even try to bring up the killing of collaborators at this time. The sudden concern for Palestinian life is suspect, at best.

But, it does make an attempt to blur the fact that Israeli death squads are on the roll, hmmm? Lest we forget, the Israel right or wrongers are doing the equivalent of dancing in the streets and passing out candy in this thread about "liquidating" palestinians.

Time to divest and disengage.

3. An attitude others seem to share:

Or as others put it: Pot, meet kettle.

Yes, yes, I know, its "completely different",
"no moral equivalency whatsoever" etc. etc.
"defending herself" whereas this other is "lawless violence".

7. what can you do when it is an eye for an eye

and victory is the operative word rather than peace. This is a semitic blood feud. In this cause semitic connotes both arabs and those of Jewish faith in the region. They are commended, Israel intelligence that is. They have been taken in and have shared this expertise with the saxon superpowers. who in comparison can not hold a candle to Israel expertise in this regard. They have been honing all legs of intelligence since 1939 at least. The US and the UK seem to really appreciate the input.

9. VICTORY ALL THE WAY

and it ain't over yet. That is what I find so interesting. All this talk of victory. The winners haven't yet won as far as I can see. I guess any day now.

not encouraging.
