Palestinians: Girl hit by IDF gunfire near UN school in Gaza
http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/487788.html

<snip>

"A 10-year-old Palestinian girl was shot in the chest by Israel Defense Forces gunfire and critically wounded outside a United Nations school in a Gaza City refugee camp on Tuesday, UN and Palestinian medical officials said."

<snip>

"The incident threatened to escalate tensions between Israel and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which runs the school.

Last month, another 10-year-old girl was killed by IDF gunfire while sitting at her desk at the same school.

The IDF did not immediately comment on Tuesday's shooting."

2. There would be more than one...
There's eight refugee camps in Gaza, so there'd be a bunch of schools run by UNRWA. Here ya go. I just found something on the UNRWA site...

The Agency operates 644 schools in its five fields of operation, which in the 2001/2002 scholastic year had an enrollment of 486,020 pupils.

3. Thank you for that,I'm pretty sure this can be narrowed down...
to just Rafah.Which is about 20 schools,what I should
have said,is that IDF is targeting the same school,
or continuing their war against UNRWA.

>>UNRWA operates 29 schools (22 elementary and 7 preparatory) for 31,234 enrolled pupils in 2001/2002<<

Cute - getting the story straight I bet. It's pretty hard to be so stupid as to get exposed as liars twice in a month. Even their own chayalim are calling the BS.

5. Although her age is different in this report....
...it appears that this poor girl has died.

http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/488107.html

<snip>

"A 12-year-old Palestinian girl died in a Khan Yunis hospital Wednesday of wounds sustained when she was shot by Israel Defense Forces troops in the Gaza Strip refugee camp the day before.

The girl was seriously wounded inside her UN-run school when IDF fire from nearby Neve Dekalim in Gush Katif aimed at what the army said was a Palestinian mortar squad."

6. Ghadeer Mokheimer has died
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 08:36 AM by gottaB

She was 10 years old according to most sources. Initially I believe UNRWA reported that she was 11. In their latest statement, they say she would have turned 10 on December 9th.

She was in the fifth grade.

7. Carrying explosives in her school bag, no doubt.
How do these soldiers sleep at night?
