The missile hit a building belonging to Ahmed Ishtaweh, a Hamas member killed by Israeli forces several months ago. It was unclear what the building was used for since his death. Israel has killed dozens of militants in targeted killings during more than three years of fighting.

Palestinian medics said a number of people were wounded in the missile strike. Smoke was rising out of the building, and ambulances rushed to the scene."

"Israeli helicopters fired missiles into Gaza City Wednesday, killing three Palestinian militants, as troops blasted their way into buildings in search of the remains of six soldiers blown up in an ambush.

Witnesses said a missile that struck near a mosque in the teeming Zeitoun district had torn apart three Hamas fighters and wounded 13 civilians. The Israeli army said it had targeted militants laying explosives against soldiers.

Another missile struck a house from which militants were shooting at soldiers. Six people were reported wounded.

Helicopters also raked narrow streets with machine-gun rounds as gunmen harried troops scouring Zeitoun for the remains -- flung in all directions after a troop carrier ran over a mine during an army incursion into Gaza City Tuesday."

2. Missed one...

A 13-year-old boy was among the Palestinians killed yesterday. An Apache helicopter fired a missile at one group of gunmen but missed, killing the boy, Yusef Hijazi, as he worked in a car repair shop.
