ILA agrees to allow Israeli Arab family to build in Jewish town
The Israel Lands Administration has informed an Israeli Arab family that they can purchase a plot of land and build a house in the cooperative settlement of Katzir in northern Israel, thus ending a nine-year legal battle.

The Kadan family will be able to purchase a plot at 1995 prices, when they first inquired about settling there.

The ILA informed the family of the decision on the weekend, along with the High Court of Justice. The Kadans filed a petition with the High Court, through the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, about six months ago claiming that the ILA and the Katzir Cooperative Association failed to meet a High Court decision from 2000 to allow the family to settle in the northern town.
