Police probe if Ashdod bombers entered port in container
Police are investigating whether the bombers who carried out Sunday's double suicide attack at the Ashdod port, in which 10 people were killed, got into the port in a container discovered to be holding weapons on Wednesday morning.

Security forces partially closed down the Ashdod port on Wednesday morning after five hand grenades and other weaponry were found in a bag hidden in the false bottom of the container. Army Radio reported that food and mattresses were also discovered in the container, and that the container docked at the port just minutes before the bombers blew themselves up.

The container is believed to have passed through the Karni Crossing in the Gaza Strip and contained marble and ceramics. Its final destination was Haifa.
