Israeli army dynamites Gaza school
Israeli troops demolished a building housing a school during a raid conducted on Tuesday overnight south of Gaza City, Palestinian security sources said.

The two-storey building, which lies near a road leading to the Jewish settlement of Netzarim, was blown up by troops during a brief incursion, the sources said.

Two Palestinian policemen were wounded in the ensuing exchange of fire.

Israeli defence chiefs proposed an “exceptional” response to the double suicide attack.

5. No, they are not as despicable as suicide bombers are.
The suicide bombers blow up building with innocent people in them. The IDF tries to insure no innocents get harmed.

tries to insure no innocents get harmed with the same due diligence Bush uses as he 'tries to insure no innocents get harmed'.

Murder and terrorism is wrong and evil whether or not you are wearing a uniform.

10. I won't go that far, but ...
"Israeli army = terrorists"
there are many in the IDF that are reckless and
criminal, there has been some action taken against
some members of the IDF. The Reckless use of extreme
fire power in civilian area's and demolition of homes
is just unacceptable.

11. well
we're close enough in agreement there. It is unacceptable, and for me I don't have a problem calling them terrorists. Terrorism is the use of terror to achieve a political victory. Killing innocents, robbing banks, bulldozing homes and schools, stealing land - how exactly could they not be described as terrorist is what I would like to know.

If we're going to be honest, we'll call them terrorists. That is my view.

3. They were just defending themselves
That school was a threat to the future demographic balance of the region, and that is obviously yet another anti-semetic plot.

4. At least they didn't blow it up while it was full of kids
The people the IDF are hunting are the ones who blow up schools while they are full of kids. It sounds like the IDF is finally getting serious about cutting the head off of the terrorists. I commend the IDF for their ability to reduce innocent causalities.

9. Hadn't heard about the terrorists blowing up schools
You're not thinking of the Israeli terrorists who were convicted (I think) of plotting to blow up a Palestinian school, are you ?

And how does blowing up a school = "cutting off the head of the terrorists" anyway. A school is not a head. I'm very confused.

Terror Attack at Hebrew University Campus

At least seven people were killed and seventy wounded in a bombing at Hebrew University's Mount Scopus campus. Fourteen of the wounded were said to be in serious condition.

The blast occurred at roughly 13:40 in a cafeteria at the Frank Sinatra International Student Center. Although there were no classes at the time, the cafeteria was open for students taking final exams. There were also numerous students in the building registering for classes for the coming school year.

The building is next door to the Rothberg International School, where about 80 pupils from the U.S. and other Western countries arrived Wednesday to prepare for the fall semester. About 2,500 foreign students attend Hebrew University. The student body also includes many Israeli Arab students.

7. Might I add
"Israeli military sources said the building was abandoned and used by Palestinian gunmen to fire on army or settler convoys driving to Netzarim."

The police were firing on the IDF? Oh, my.

8. How do you know...
that these were police?

And why do you trust the IDF?
