Average wage fell 2.3 percent in 2003
Yet more "success" for Sharon and Likud. But don't
worry NuttyYahoo is going to fix it.

The gross average wage of Israel's salaried
workers in 2003 was NIS 6,985, according to
figures released yesterday by the Central
Bureau of Statistics. This figure is 2.3 percent
lower than the average in 2002, which was
already 1 percent lower than in 2001.

The average wage ended the year lower than
it began despite a rebound during the second
part of the year: The average for the month of
December, for example, was NIS 7,226, up
from NIS 6,880 in November.
