Israel orders land confiscation for Wall in Gaza
Calling all Palestinians! All of ye just scram on outta here! Yeee-haww!

Go on now - Git!

Electronic Intifada

According to information available to PCHR, on 22 February 2004, Israeli occupying forces handed written orders to a number of Palestinian families living near “Netzarim” settlement, south of Gaza city, informing them that their land would be seized for “military purposes” until the end of December 2005. Such orders mean that the land will be effectively confiscated. The orders provide seven days for appeal. PCHR today submitted an appeal on behalf of the owners of these lands to the Israeli military legal advisor.

According to the orders which were issued by the Head of the Israeli Military Southern Command, Dan Harel, “the seizure of land is carried out in light of the current security situation and for absolute military needs (security wall – Netzarim, Gaza) to establish security facilities.”

1. The road map seems to be on the wrong course.

They talk about withdrawal but at the same time, take away more land and settle more Russian immigrants.

Must be they're taking lessons on ethics from Bush.

2. for who?
Israel gets to steal all the land, murdering as they please - while Palestinians get their homes smashed up and told to leave.

The thieves are on the right course.

3. Why don't they just get the US to give them a large crate

pack it full of Palestinians, stick a flag on it, and put the rest of them in one of the existing prison camps instead of doing things so piecemeal. Then they could move on to Syria a lot sooner.

4. nah
it's more fun to play big-brave-Arab-hunter and keep Palestinians penned up in a walled-in ghetto, then demand the U.S. pay for all the military equipment you need to go on killing sprees and hunting expeditions in the "disputed" territories.

6. for a second, I thought you were drudging up an older piece
since large swaths of land in Gaza was already stolen and seized for a seperation wall. Now they're putting one around Netzarim? I thought Sharon was evacuating these colonies..
