American bishop denounces Israel's apartheid wall

Bishop Clifton Kirkpatrick, Secretary of the Anglican Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A., denounced Israel's building of the apartheid separation wall in the West Bank, saying it diminishes prospects of peace in the region.

Kirkpatrick said in statements Monday in Beirut that he is calling George W. Bush's administration to stop its support to Israel, pointing out that the international resolutions should be implemented.

The American cleric refuted Tel Aviv's pretexts to justify building of the barrier in the West Bank, stressing that Israel has no right to occupy other people's land under the excuse of providing security.
