15 Palestinians Die As Israelis Raid Camp

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Israel sent troops and tanks into a densely populated neighborhood and a refugee camp Wednesday to search for Palestinian militants, setting off the bloodiest day of fighting in the Gaza Strip (news - web sites) in 16 months. Fifteen Palestinians were killed and more than 50 were wounded.

Hamas, the militant Islamic group, responded with an ominous vow of retaliation, urging all its cells throughout Gaza and the West Bank to attack. Similar calls in the past have been followed within days — sometimes hours — by suicide bombings in Israel.

The fiercest fighting took place in the Shajaiyeh neighborhood of Gaza City, where dozens of youths stood in the streets watching the battle as gunfire whizzed by. At one point, a gunman picked up a young schoolboy by his backpack and whisked him out of the battle zone.

"There was great resistance by armed cells in a very densely populated area," said Col. Yoel Strick, a division commander in the Gaza Strip. There were no Israeli casualties, he said.

Do you speak for everyone now? You said that you wouldn't go that far. I asked how far would you go? What's the problem? It's a very straight forward question.

as calling them non-human, as you did. If they were terrorists or members of terrorist organizations, I'd go as far as to call them terrorists or the equivalent thereof.

As for speaking for everyone, I speak only for myself. However, I was not the one who either alerted on or deleted your post, so I am guessing that I am not entirely alone.

That's how many people in this country and Israel feel about them. I'm relieved that you are not one of these people. As far as the post being deleted it seems moderators here are extra sensitive when it comes to certain things. Sure you're not alone, no one is not even Bush. That doesn't make him right either.
