Hard-line Jordanians burn Israeli flag
Around 1,000 hard-line Jordanians took to the streets Monday, burning the Israeli flag and demanding that their government abolish a peace treaty signed with Israel in 1994.

The protesters, affiliated with leftist and Muslim fundamentalist groups and including women and children, were also critical of U.S. President George W. Bush and called for an end to the American occupation of Iraq.

"We call on the government to end all kinds of dealing with the Zionist enemy and hosting Israeli officials and citizens in our country," Suleiman Yacoub, head of a committee comprising Jordan's 15 opposition parties, said in a brief speech outside the parliament building in the heart of the capital.

The peaceful protest was organized by the Muslim Brotherhood Movement, Jordan's largest opposition group, which advocates Israel's annihilation.

Think about it for a second. A Muslim LEFTIST group against a peace treaty with Israel and which advocates Israel's annihilation. If this is what Muslim leftists are for, God help us, what are Muslim rightests calling for.

1. Don't worry. Abdullah will round them up and torture them

He's one of the good ones. Does as he's told, knows his place, does Abdullah.

2. The Jordanians
Are especially concerned about the Palestinians in their midst after the war they had with them in 1970. Funny how people trying to overthrow your regime can make you sensitive like that.

4. Jordan
Jordan fought off an enemy takeover that was trying to make JORDAN the Palestinian state. Such actions are bound to impact their dealings with the Palestinians.
