15 people injured in protest against W. Bank security fence
http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/378555.html

<snip>

"Fifteen people were lightly wounded Thursday during a demonstration against the West Bank security fence, near Qafr Budrous north of Modi'in.

Most of the wounded are Palestinians, and two of the injured are foreign peace activists, who were hit by rubber-coated bullets.

The demonstrators were marching in the village to protest the wounding of Israeli protesters and Swedish member of parliament Gustav Fridolin a day earlier."

"Thursday marked the third consecutive day the peace activists were demonstrating against the construction of a portion of the separation fence north of Modi'in. The construction, which commenced a few days ago, involved uprooting the village's olive groves, and the fence is planned to surround the village from every direction."

1. No comment on size of protests.
Shrinking? Growing? Same folks every day?

2. The protests seem to be growing.....

...from an article about yesterday's protest:

http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/378297.html

"Yesterday's demonstration marked the first time that residents of a Palestinian village directly affected by the fence have participated in an organized demonstration against it. Until recently, Fatah members and the Palestinian Authority had refrained from taking part in protest actions, and those Palestinian protests that did occur did not receive wide media coverage. Thus most of the protests were carried out by Israeli and foreign activists.

The Qafr Budrous demonstration thus marks a turning point in Palestinian policy toward the separation fence, and joint protest action is expected to likely increase from now on."

3. This could get interesting then.
Note Gimel's other post about quiet changes in the
fence route.
