They haven't put the article online but Outside magazine has a very good piece in their Jan. 2004 issue about the group called Migrating Birds Know No Boundaries, where birders from Israel, Jordan, and Palestine are working to try to protect the migration corridor for their hundreds of thousands of migrating birds.
