Eilat terrorists flee back into Egypt
Police have lowered the high state of alert in Eilat following a day-long manhunt for two terrorists who had earlier attacked a motorist north of Eilat.

At about 4am Tuesday morning, an Israeli motorist came under gunfire and grenade attack on the road approaching Eilat from the north.

Just over a month ago a tourist from Ecuador was killed and four wounded, after a Jordanian truck driver opened fire at a group of tourists who had arrived from Jordan and were gathered on the Israeli side of the Yitzhak Rabin border crossing north of Eilat.

The terrorist who was later identified as a 37 year old resident of the town Zarqa northeast of Amman.

Israel should consider an additional fence on its Jordanian and Egyptian borders.
