AIPAC's Democrats Demand Cutting Palestinian Aid
AIPAC acolytes in the House of Representatives are now demanding that the United States cut off aid to the Palestinians. The reason: Palestinians have sought redress for their grievances against Israel by turning to the United Nations rather than continuing pointless negotiations with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

According to Haaretz, two influential members of Congress actually marched to the United Nations to tell the Palestinians no soup for you.

Rep. Gary Ackerman , member of the House Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia, stressed that "There may need to be a total cutoff of all aid to the Palestinians for pursuing this course of action which is very dangerous and ill advised."

"They should think twice, reverse course and get back to the negotiating table where Prime Minister Netanyahu awaits them," he concluded.

2. Decent guy, Ackerman. My mom's congressman.
Calling him an "AIPAC acolyte" is indicative of YOUR rigid bias, not his.

Statements on the Palestinians Unilateral Statehood Bid at the United Nations

snip* Let me tell you, as I conclude, what I think we can do; and we should do it immediately.
Congress must act. We must send a clear signal to the Palestinians that we will not continue to support them with our foreign aid dollars if they choose to act unilaterally and avoid negotiations.
I will not continue to throw taxpayer money away at the Palestinians when they are refusing to negotiate in good faith for a Palestinian state.
I have introduced H.R. 1592, which would cut off funding to the Palestinian Authority if they unilaterally declare a state outside of negotiations. I hope my colleagues will join me in cosponsoring this timely legislation. We must send a clear message to the Palestinians that their efforts to circumvent negotiations are unacceptable and the only way to statehood, the only way, is at the negotiating table. 5. Unfortunately "no soup for you" is quite accurate
some of the aid monies being cut go for food and medical aid
