Report: British Muslims planning attacks against Israel
Israeli military officials have raised the alarm about young British Muslims who might be using Syria as a platform for planning terrorist attacks, according to the London Times on Monday.

The paper said the Israeli officials have now asked security agencies in Britain to help track down several of the estimated 50 young British Muslims who have "gone missing" after traveling to Syria in recent months.

They also noted that at least three men traveling on British passports are being "sheltered in the Gaza Strip by terrorist groups."

=======================

These young British Muslims appear to be a concern. Some are being sheltered by terrorist groups. They may have joined in the attacks on American and British troops in Iraq. There is a history of homicide bombers from England. Hopefully those meaning harm will be brought to justice.

1. uh-huh....
Five will get you ten that some, or all of these "young British Muslims" are international peace workers. Sounds just like the Israeli military to demonize them as "terrorists" so they can continue shooting them for shielding Palestinian children, telling the truth about the occupation, and etc.

2. Actually, Mr. C
It is much more likely these fellows are what they are being billed as here. There are some damned guady radical clerics with sizeable followings in England, and followers of same have turned up in some most compromising positions in the last couple of years.

There would be no need for peace activists to go underground and disappear, nor is Syria particularly noted as a haven for followers of Ghandi.

3. yes, but *saying* that foreign nationals are "going underground..."
...in Syria gives the IDF potential cover for shooting peace activists. After all, they might have been among those mythical "50 British Muslim terrorists."

4. In No Important Way, Sir
The activists of the I.S.M. seek deliberately to interpose themselves in lethal situations, and so must inevitably at times be struck. They would have no worth whatever if they did not.
