Guest View: Does `Never Again' apply to Gaza?
To Americans euphoric over the inauguration of President Barack Obama, Gaza may be old news, but to the rest of the world, journalists now entering Gaza describe a scene reminiscent of war-torn Europe.

Over 1,500 are dead, mostly civilians, including large numbers of children. The widespread destruction of civilian homes in Gaza City left over 50,000 refugees homeless. In deference to the new American president, a triumphant Israeli army ended its three-week long offensive and withdrew just prior to the president's inauguration.

Israel's tragic and immoral invasion of Gaza evoked comparison with the atrocities of World War II. Descendants of Europe's Jews, who were among the major victims of that war, are now cast in the role of perpetrators of a 21st century crime against humanity.

The heavy loss of civilian life during the Israeli attack can only be identified as an act of terror. In light of that, we are reminded of the World War II Holocaust phrase "Never Again" and are forced to ask what is the true meaning of that phrase. We thought "Never Again" was a humanitarian pledge that no group of the world's people would ever again be subjected to such atrocities.

2. Shhhhh, such ghoulish words may disturb 'self righteous' narcissistic American citizens.
Encouraging "Respect" between People of different religions...?
forget it.

Learned through the blood soaked video game experience,
viewing murder and maiming of civilians
on a military video screen,
tis easy for our specie.
