7 civilians injured by Israeli gunboat in Gaza, “We won’t accept this any longer”
Ramallah, 22-01-09: Mustafa Barghouthi, the Secretary General of the Palestinian National initiative strongly condemns this morning Israeli naval attack on Gaza fishermen.

On Tuesday morning, the Israeli navy shelled the Northern shores of the Gaza Strip and opened fire on civilians, injuring 7 Palestinians including 5 fishermen.

“This shows once more that Israel’s so-called “withdrawal” as claimed by the Israeli officials and portrayed in the press, is no withdrawal at all. Israel remains in control of the border, land, sea and air of the Gaza Strip and are still continuing in their policy of siege and occupation over Gaza and the West Bank”, stated Mustafa Barghouthi.

“The air strikes and ground invasion may have stopped, but we won’t accept the Palestinian daily life to return to previous ‘normality’”, said the Deputy. “That ‘normality’ was a burden heavier than any people could ever carry. It is filled with daily killings and targeted assassinations, aggressions and humiliations carried by the Israeli forces. No country in the world would ever accept such a fate for its civilians, no country would accept its people to live in a constant fear.”

1. Unilateral cease-fire, huh?
Why are the Palestinians always the ones who get blamed for breaking the cease-fires when Israel provokes them?

3. because israel will shoot some boats up
the MSM will ignore it. Israel will prevent an ambulance crossing a checkpoint, somebody will die, the MSM will ignore it. Israel will lauch a "targeted assasination" that kills innocents or accidentall drops a bomb on a beach killing a family or on an apartment and the MSM will generally ignore it or claim it's some kind of necessary response to terrorism. Palestinians respond and the MSM are all over it with Israel crying into its collective should complaining about terrorism.

4. You are right
Israel isn't the only country that views Palestinians as sub-human.

6. So, Israel "allows" Gazans to fish...
then shoots the hell out of them when they do? Poor, poor Israel. Such a victim.
