Hamas TV claims 'Satanic Jews' planned, perpetrated Holocaust

Hamas' Al-Aqsa TV aired a documentary on April 18 claiming that Jews planned and perpetrated the Holocaust in order to rid the nation of the "burden" of the weak and disabled.

Palestinian Media Watch, a group that monitors Palestinian Arabic language media and schoolbooks, uploaded part of the program onto YouTube in a segment called "Hamas Holocaust Perversion: Jews Planned Holocaust to Kill Handicapped Jews."

The Al-Aqsa TV clip edits together footage from the World War II Nazi Genocide, showing Jews being rounded up and taken to a train as well as emaciated corpses lying in a pile, alongside images of Israeli leaders David Ben Gurion and Golda Meir.

at first I just thought it was nutters and crazies, and that intelligent or educated people would never touch such nonsense.

But I have read talkbacks and commentaries that have shown me that Holocaust deniers, like those who preach the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, are very popular beliefs in the Arab world.

This was quoted here already but from 'Israel Insider'; so I was hoping against hope that it might be exaggerated. But if it's Haaretz, it is accurate.

The Hamas antisemitic propaganda machine is poison. Most countries have their xenophobic poison-media, but Hamas really takes it to the heights, or rather the depths.

8. I wish that more media from the Arab world was translated into English

I also really wish that those who have a problem with MEMRI and similar groups would take the time to translate into English articles and news reports that are available only in Arabic.

It seems that too often these sorts of items are dismissed because of the potential biases of the translator.

I would love to see publications, editorials, and news reports that emenate from Hamas available in English more often.
