Israel Quiet On Mossad Captures
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big News Network.com Friday 3rd October, 2003

Israel remained curiously quiet over reports a cell of Mossad agents was arrested in an unnamed Arab country, the Jerusalem Post said Thursday.

The agents were held for conspiring to assassinate Hamas leaders, including the group's general secretary abroad, Khaled Mashal, the newspaper said.

Hamas politburo member Mohammed Nazzal said the security services of an Arab country foiled the plot several weeks ago, but declined to name the country or say who was targeted. He said more than one person had been on the hit lis,t and the cell members captured included Arab and foreign nationals but not Israelis.

Nazzal initially made the claim on the Islamic web site Islam Online, saying their leaders have been warned to take maximum precautionary measures.

Any guess what Arab country has them! .....Saudia Arabia? :bounce:

1. Hummmm....
Not like the Mossad to get captured, especially as an entire team appears to be compromised. I wonder what went wrong, looks fishy somehow. Mossad is almost better than the CIA, weird how this has turned out. Then again, it states these guys were just foreign recruits. Could all be a lie anyway, no confirmation, no denial.

My guess is most likely Syria or perhaps Jordan. I bet Jordan would be pissed again if they found another assasin team operating in their country. Jordan has the only security force in the region worth two shits and capable of capturing Mossad, other than Turkey.

4. I believe that may be the case - no facts - just the way folks are acting
We'll see if they are released or killed - and if Israel complains about it

Word I get is that Arril fence will be joined to the main fence next June and the Eastern wall construction will begin then - it is as if in the last 30 days the US has backed down so as to have Israeli help to hide something.

Then again I might need a new tinfoil hat!

:-)
