Mottaki: Tehran welcomes Sudan's principled stance on Lebanon, Palestine
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Saturday that Tehran welcomes the principled policies of Sudanese government in supporting Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and Palestine.

Mottaki told visiting Sudanese acting foreign minister Mutrif Sediq that Iranian officials hope to have continued contacts for further consolidation of mutual relations and cooperation.

He said that Tehran and Khartoum share many grounds for cooperation in all areas, in the economic domain in particular, and the two sides can have diplomatic cooperation on international level as well.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Mottaki said emergence of democracy in the Middle East marks an important event in the region.

1. Perhaps Mr. Mottaki will mention
that troubling problem in Darfur while he's discussing how great Iranian and Sudanese relations are.
