UN Leader Meets in Ramallah With PA Chairman Abu Mazen
(IsraelNN.com) United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Anan met on Saturday afternoon in Ramallah with PA (Palestinian Authority) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), who leveled serious charges against Israel.

The PA leader told Anan that over 200 PA residents have been killed since the end of June, calling on the UN to intercede to halt Israeli military actions in PA autonomous areas.

During a joint press conference, Anan spoke of protecting life, calling upon Israel to lift the closure on Gaza and reopen crossing points to permit PA residents to resume day-to-day living.
