Maybe the US and Israel want to use "The Flypaper Strategy" in Lebanon

Remember when they said they were using that strategy in Iraq? It is the strategy where we draw all the terrorist into Iraq so we can "fight them over there" Maybe we got together with Israel and told them we would not try to stop them if they used Lebanon for a firing range with the hope that all the "terrorist" in Iraq would flock to Lebanon to fight Israel and we could claim victory in Iraq. On second thought I probably give them too much credit. Do they still proudly claim to be using "The Flypaper Strategy" in Iraq, I haven't heard lately?

3. It is a BS strategy

It's not a strategy, it's propaganda.

'fight them over there, so we don't have to fight them over here' was soon followed by warnings to Syria that that country had to close their Iraqi borders, since it became the biggest contributor to that "strategy". That is blowing cold and hot air at the same time.

The strategy sort of worked in its own way, so it had to be dismissed.

As the saying goes: be carefull what you wish for...
