Ultra-Orthodox Jews attack Christian tourists in Jerusalem
<snip>

"A group of 50 pro-Israel Christian tourists came under attack Wednesday from some 100 residents of the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Mea She'arim in Jerusalem.

Three of the tourists and a police officer were wounded in the attack. They received treatment at the scene.

The tourists arrived at Mea She'arim wearing orange T-shirts with the words "Love your neighbor as yourself" printed across them.

As they neared one of the squares, the local residents apparently identified them as Christians and began to hit them.

Police forces in the area stepped in to stop the violence, but did not make any arrests."

2. the people involved
should be arrested.

however i wouldnt necessarily call all christians who support israel their friend. there are some who just want israel to be around so they can get jesus to return, who will then slay all (including jews) who dont accept jesus as their lord and savior.

that being said the persons involved in the attack on the tourists should be arrested, put on trial and if found guilty pay the appropriate penalty.

3. Interesting that they were reacting to the words on the shirts
For didn't Hillel himself say that the entire Torah could be said in the words "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and the rest was commentary? But maybe the ultras reject Hillel.

4. Ooopsie. Looks like these Jews know that many Christians'
love for them extends only until the Rapture, at which time the "Christians" will cheerfully toss them out of the boat.
