At least 54 Qassams have rocked Sderot since Friday
"Come here on Tuesday, we'll make things right and then there won't be any more Qassams," promised three ultra-Orthodox men from Bnei Brak, as they went from stall to stall at the Sderot market yesterday.

"Which rabbi is that?" One of the women asked. "It doesn't matter, just come," she is told and promises to show up. She's a believing person, after all, and what's important is that something will put an end to the Qassam rockets.

At least 54 Qassams have hit Sderot since Friday, and the attacks from the Gaza strip are having a detrimental effect on the merchants and residents of this economically disadvantaged Negev town.

"This is how it is after a Qassam, sales go down about 40 percent," one merchant said.

A Ramle man selling Bukharan bread nearby shouted: "The Bukharan people are not afraid of a Qassam!"
