Livni: Israel being delegitimized as national home of the Jews
From Ha'aretz:

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said on Monday she senses there are unofficial international processes working toward the delegitimization of Israel as the national home of the Jewish people.

Livni told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that in all her recent meetings with European officials, she has been acting to reinforce the concept of Israel as the Jewish national home. Israeli representatives overseas have also been directed to reinforce this idea.

Conservative government, racist laws, a nation nearing the brink of a socio-religious civil war run and cheered on by hard, hard right conservative ideologs both internally and the world over, well...it's unsuprising that diasporic Jews view Israel less and less as the refuge and homeland it was created as.

1. Not sure where you get that info

I attend a liberal synagogue and everyone I know there supports Israel. Nearly 90% of jews in America support Israel. Also, Israel is far less reactionary than it's Middle Eastern neighbors. There is a campaign to delegitimize Israel. I just watched the film "Munich" and one scary scene in the movie has a Palestinian terrorist saying " Eventually Israel's arab neighbors will invide her and the world will be so turned against Israel that no one will lift a finger to save it"...that is a scary thought and the dream of Hamas and Iran among others.

3. Yes I know that
I was once a member of many left wing organizations and had to cancel my membership when I found out about their Anti-Israel radical nonsense. I don't care if I am flamed for this. I think it is just anti-semitism in a guise. Anyone who thinks a small group like AIPAC (who I disagree with many times) actually runs this country needs their brains checked.

4. I used to be in AIPAC. If I'd known how POWERFUL I was, I never
would have left. :D
