Reuters employee issues 'Zionist pig' death threat
Worker suspended after telling American blogger: 'I look forward to day when you pigs get your throats cut'

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3256534,00.html

<snip>

"A Reuters employee has been suspended after sending a death threat to an American blogger.

The message, sent from a Reuters internet account, read: "I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throats cut."

It was sent to Charles Johnson, owner of the Little Green Footballs (LGF) weblog, a popular site which often backs Israel and highlights jihadist terrorist activities.

In the threat, the Reuters staff member, who has not been named, left his email address as "zionistpig" at hotmail.com."

<snip>

"After bringing the threat to the attention of Reuters, Johnson was told by the news organization's Global Head of Communications, Ed
Williams: "I can confirm that an employee has been suspended pending further investigation. The individual was not an employee of Reuters' news division."

1. Where is Reuters located? Is there a central building somewhere?
Where does Reuters find its people? How will Reuters guarantee that this whacko will not hurt Charles Johnson?

2. Reuter's corporate headquarters are in London.
I imagine this isn't the first death threat Charles Johnson has received. If he hasn't already taken steps to protect himself, he should.

3. Reuters used to have a western hemisphere web server
in Palo Alto, CA just off of Foothill between the VA Hospital and Stanford Univ.

5. why should reuters do anything
he was fired presumably because he used work time/resources to send it, beyond that it's nothing to do with them, should your boss have to guarantee you never commit a crime

10. Reuters was correct to get rid of that moron
Most companies have policies against criminal activity by their employees (especially on company time or through company resources)

4. Given the revolting racist filth

that Charles Johnson allows to be spread like cancer on his bilious little website he should hardly be surprised, amazed that it is described in such benign terms as:

"a popular site which often backs Israel and highlights jihadist terrorist activities"

Anyone unfamiliar with one of the worst pieces of bigotry stinking up the web would do well to check out the LittleGreenFootballs? or Late German Fascists? (Quiz)

A few choice LGF posts about Palestinians:

"How can these vermin have a country? How can these vermin be allowed to live?"

"I've been fond of transfer of these subhuman(s) for a while. Perhaps something more like targeted genocide... will become necessary."

"They don't need statehood; they need sterilization."

Do I care that someone threatened him, no not at all.

7. It is an anti-Palestinian, anti-Arab hate site.
I was suprised to see some familiar handles posting there, too. Very disturbing.
