Rabin assassin wins right to be a father
Yigal Amir, the jailed Jewish zealot who assassinated Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli prime minister, was today granted permission to make his wife pregnant through artificial insemination.

---

Amir shot Rabin dead during a 1995 rally in Tel Aviv, in protest at his stewardship of the Oslo peace accords with the Palestinians, paving the way for a Palestinian state. The extremist was jailed for life for the murder, and is kept in solitary confinement in Beersheva prison in southern Israel, where he is under constant surveillance.

Ms Trimbobler married Amir, despite his life sentence, as an expression of what she called her "moral and political support". His requests for conjugal visits have since been turned down by the supreme court because he has never expressed remorse.

The former law student claimed that he had received marriage proposals by the sackful from right-wing settlers before marrying Ms Trimbobler, an immigrant from the former Soviet Union.

1. Rabin assassin attempts to smuggle plastic bag of sperm to his wife
<snip>

"Yigal Amir, the jailed assassin of prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, attempted to smuggle a plastic bag of sperm to his wife during a prison meeting between the two on Thursday.

The Prisons Authority announced Tuesday that Amir has been permitted to provide sperm samples for the artificial insemination of his wife.

The authority on Thursday also said Amir's wife, Larissa Trimbobler, attempted to smuggle a test tube into the prison. Their visit was immediately halted.

The Prisons Authority made clear to Amir that preparations for the artificial insemination procedure have not yet been completed and he is not authorized to act on his own."

5. Why isn't he in a grave?
He murders a beloved head of state and gets to live while little girls walking around get killed just because they are Palestinian. Is that justice? I think not.
