RAMALLAH, Feb. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat Monday called on the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to respect the Palestinian National Authority (PNA)'s commitments to world.
The PNA has regional and international commitments to the world, which should also be recognized by Hamas, as this "would be the shortest ways for them to keep our people's highest interests on the top of our priorities," Erekat told reporters on Monday.
He said that recognizing the PNA commitments would also help to ease the pressure imposed on Hamas as "it would end all these excuses of parties that want to keep targeting the Palestinian people and ignore their democratic rights."
The PNA had repeatedly expressed to Hamas that it is not logic and it is unbelievable for a new Palestinian government that does not recognize the international resolutions, said Erekat.
