Arabs hurl firebombs at home in Pisgat Ze'ev, near Jerusalem

Palestinians on Friday night threw three Molotov cocktails at a house in Pisgat Ze'ev, a northern suburb of Jerusalem just over the Green Line in the West Bank, setting fire to the kitchen of the home.

No one was injured and the fire was soon put out.

Eyewitnesses told police they saw the Palestinians flee to the nearby Shweifat refugee camp.

Elsewhere, Two Palestinians were lightly wounded when Israel Defense Forces troops fired at them in the West Bank village of Beit Athata, south of Nablus.

our Muslim and Palestinian friends. Please don't refer to them as "Arabs." These are militant fundy asswipes who murder innocent people. Not all Arabs are bad people. And I'm sorry, but those settlements are very illegal and need to be removed immediately.

I am a proud Zionist and I support Israel and its existence but I also support an independent Palestine free of coercion and where both states live in peace. I don't understand why that's so hard to do. I had to scold a little anti-Zionist person awhile ago. I can't believe I have to do the same thing again to the other person. Please don't be discriminatory, there's enough hate in this fucked up world to go around without us adding to it.

3. A few things...

First, welcome to DU.

Second, you may want to review the rules of the Israel/Palestine forum. They are posted on the main page of the I/P and pinned at the top in a yellow bar. The rules for this forum are very strict. One of those rules, as pointed out by poster #2, is that the title of the article must be the title of thread. If this rule is not followed, the thread will be locked. There are few exceptions. Most of the time, if you see a title to a thread that doesn't match the article or there is no article, it means it was booted down from one of the other forums at DU into this one. (Also note: some other sub-forums have some different rules as well, the 9-11 and Gun room come to mind.)

Third, I fail to see how "Arab" is an offensive term; not all Arabs are Muslims and not all Muslims, Arabs, and not all Palestinians are Muslims.

Fourth, just some friendly advice, since you are new to DU, how ever long you may have lurked, you want to get the lay of the land before "scolding" others here. It is unbecoming and can lead to misunderstandings out of the gate (this is from personal experience). Along the same lines, be very careful about implying someone is a bigot. In the main forums, there is more latitude, down here, not so much...and if you read here (I/P) more, you will discover why that is.

Fifth, a little more friendly advice, if you are indeed a "proud Zionist," make sure you know what that term means, up, down, left, right! Proclaiming you are a Zionist, especially a "proud" one, is akin to dripping blood into a tank of sharks. It can start off a frenzy. (This is not to say anti-Zionists are "sharks," it is just an analogy.)

Finally, if you don't understand why both states can't live in peace, read a few more threads on this forum...go back a few pages, you'll get a clearer idea and understand. We (those at DU) can't do anything but talk, so just imagine what the politicians are encountering.

On edit: You may want to reconsider your signature line. While it may be very true and is accurate, a quote from Hitler, especially in the I/P forum may offend some, as well.
