Woman killed by stray bullet
A perfect example of a case wherre having a gun on hand would not have made a damn bit of difference. - Wayne

Woman killed by stray bullet

An elderly Shreveport woman asleep in her own home was killed today by a stray bullet fired from a rolling gunbattle being waged on the street outside.

Lottie Myers, 75, was on the couch in her home in the 7200 block of Southern Avenue when a bullet came through a wall about 6 a.m. today.

Her husband was in another room and was not hurt, police said.

Shreveport police said the occupants of two cars were shooting at each other as they drove down the street.

1. If she had had a gun she could have shot a bullet with a bullet
Stop picking on gun nuts...they are for the constitution..they merely traded off the 1st amendment and the 3rd through the 27th to protect their paranoid belief that Dems wanted to take all their guns away...one must compromise sometimes to win.

Besides, if she wasn't doing anything wrong the bullet would NOT have hit her. She was probably a feminist. :D

2. Don't blame inanimate objects!
She could have been killed just as well if the perps used knives!

4. Give her a National Retard Award(NRA)!
She died for the second amendment. She made the NRA proud today.

5. rolling in blood...
How many innocent people have been killed by cars? This argument would be worth something if it actually occured more than once in a blue moon.

Far more people die as helpless victims, but since statistics do not prove guns to be evil, random news stories will have to do.

6. OTOH it wouldn't have hurt her either
Any bets as to whether or not any of the participants in the "rolling gun battle" were legally prohibited from possessing firearms?
