I don't know how I feel about this, does this mean we will be extending this right to all ex-fellons that have paid there debt, or just those in LE? and who were the people that voted for this guy in the first place?

1. A Simple Solution?

Have ex-felons, whether in law enforement or not, appeal their loss of rights to a court.

There are many ex-felons who can reasonably considered competent to carry firearms.

There are also many non-felons who should stay as far away from firearms as possible, but that's an entirely different story.
