2. If you operate under the assumption that terrorists are funding
their operations by selling drugs, which I've heard claimed but don't necessarily believe, then the war on drugs certainly aids terrorists by driving up the prices of drugs which means more money for the terrorists.

3. I would have to go with the War On (Some) Drugs. True, the...
...terrorists do get the money from the drugs but the prices of drugs are higher than they would be otherwise if there was no WO(S)D.

The terrorists also benefit from the highly resilent distribution networks that the WO(S)D creates. Not only do drugs move through this network, but also other types of contraband.

We should have learned some lessons from Prohibition; we did not.

6. Interesting that you mentioned diamonds...
This is the first time I have heard of a diamonds/terrorism connection. This is not to say I have not heard of the attrocities committed by firms working for De Beers. Horrible stories that made me regret buying my wife diamond jewelry (actually, it is very difficult to find a diamond that does not come from De Beers, they seem to have an international monopoly).

7. I will never buy anything with diamonds.
Luckily, I have an old family heirloom diamond ring that I'll have crafted into a wedding ring when the time comes. Other than that, the only diamonds I'll ever buy might be on the edge of a saw blade.

The stories I've heard about DeBeers have convinced me to boycott that industry for the rest of my life. It's atrocious, and the terrorism connection doesn't surprise me one bit.

5. Much more terror funding comes from oil wealth.
Drug wealth funding is miniscule by comparison.
