14. I will never forget the issue of Hustler

I found back in the late 70's devoted almost entirely to obscenity. I was about 10 at the time. LF covered war, in graphic detail. Burnt charred dismembered decapitated bodies.

How bizarre is this going to get before it's all over?

I kid you not, a restaurant in my hometown was forced to cover up photos on it's menu because they showed a woman's bare nipple. These are tasteful vintage photos from the 1800s showing Ruebenesque women in soft, romantic poses. They have used these menus for 30 years and only now it's become an issue.

Some power-hungry clown on the beer board pointed out that it's illegal to serve beer where images of nudity are present (but actual nudity is OK apparently). So, the restaurant had to either eliminate the menus or face being shut down.
