New fast and furious related email surfaces.

Charlie Smith is the the Assistant Special Agent (in) Charge of the Dallas Field Division.

Glenn Cook is the Deputy Chief of the Special Prosecutions unit of the Criminal Division, Department of Justice, Southern District of Texas in Houston.

Jim Needles was the senior ATF supervisor at the Phoenix ATF Field Division, at that time.

Written just two days after the slaying of Agent Terry, well before Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke resigned.

How was the "2000 firearms" known about at that time, by someone in a separate field division in a different state?

Hmm...This email does seem to imply that LOTS of people were aware of fast and furious.

9. In no way any lower than Holder
Slight chance Obama knew since the action has serious international consequences.

It's a question of whether Holder decided to take such an extreme action himself without permission from his boss.

11. or more likely

there was a lot they forgot to tell Holder and Obama. Holder was too busy coddling BP, Massey, and the banksters to get very hands on.

If anyone is looking for a conspiracy theory, I remember Seymor Hersh writing something about Cheney loyalists staying behind to screw things up. Some of these in the ATF? Continue Wide Receiver and call it FF but without telling the Mexicans about it? Then accuse this administration of a false flag.

IIRC, the AWB did start under GHWB's maladministration.
