Does Idaho and Montana
honor Washington's CWP? Is their anything special one needs to know when traveling through those states with a Washington CWP?

2. Why would you want to know this unless you carry concealed, and why would
you do that since it's practically useless--as you've "proven" in another thread?

Inquiring minds...

if you are going to carry it should be open carry so you are not "dishonest".

36. That's one of the most ignorant arguments I've ever heard.
Edited on Mon May-23-11 10:57 PM by TPaine7
Failure to disclose information--information that has no bearing on any normal, honest transaction--is not dishonest. Most guys wear their pants so high that people don't know the color of their boxers. Most women keep their panty color private from the general public too.

I was amazed by a video of a petite Asian woman who was the intended victim of a mugging in an elevator. The camera captured the shocked thug as he was caught from behind (as he attempted to leave with her purse) and unceremoniously body slammed. His headfirst encounter with the floor probably left him at least unconscious. She had no obligation to inform a perfect stranger that she was an expert in martial arts. It was irrelevant to any honest interaction. Honest folks need no warning; thugs deserve no warning.

11. An excellent resource for questions such as these....
http://www.handgunlaw.us

and specifically for those with a Washington CWP:
http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/washington.pdf

As for what you need to know specifically, you can look up the laws for both Idaho & Montana at the website. If you're the one travelling, you are subject to the laws in whichever state you find yourself. Ignorance is no excuse.

28. Sometimes a little snark is needed.
Here you have a poster who tirelessly rails against concealed carry wanting to know if a Washington permit is honored in neighboring states.

Seems to me that's about up there with an Idaho Senator saying in 1994, "I've been in this business 27 years in the public eye here. I don't go around anywhere hitting on men, and by God, if I did, I wouldn't do it in Boise, Idaho! Jiminy!"

OK. But what about in Minneapolis?

33. It's a bit more than "run afoul" safe.
This is a person who has gone above and beyond on making his/her opinion of concealed carry and those who carry concealed abundantly clear. So when such a seemingly "legit" question comes along from such a person, it's going to cause a few eyebrows to rise, to say the very least.

I guess my point is that she brought the snark down on herself with her past attitudes, for better or worse.

34. Poster has a history of insulting and belittling...
...those on the other side of the ideological divide. Like this:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=118&topic_id=416287&mesg_id=416287

People tend to remember things like that when the person shows up a week or two later asking a "legit question."
