This topic is not limited to this forum but my friends are here so
please visit OUR THREATENED FREEDOMS and scroll to the end.

Thank you for your kind thoughts when my wife of 46 years and 10 months passed away.

Several friends have given me books on grief and they have been very helpful but their authors miss one point which I believe is the most important -- the magnitude of grief.

It seems to me that one cannot experience the "Ultimate in Grief" unless one has experienced the "Ultimate in Love".

I and my family were lucky to have been loved by and we loved Joyce; wife, mother, and grandmother; at the highest level. For that reason, our grief is overwhelming. The one thing that makes it bearable is knowing that she is at peace and in God's care.

I pray that all people will experience love like ours, even for a brief moment because love is the only thing that gives meaning to life.

You guys are

3. Time and great memories help
Lost my Mom last summer and it takes time to recover.

You have my condolences and best thoughts for the recovery to come.

The great memories and talk within the family about the common things we all shared helped us slowly begin to recover from the soul-stunning grief.

4. I offer my deepest condolences to you and your family.
I agree completely that love is what gives meaning to life. I don't know what I'd do without my wife of 11 years and my son -- soon to be son and daughter.
