Detroit Police Mourn 2 Fallen Officers

Detroit police flew flags at half staff Monday evening to honor two officers killed in the line of duty. Officers Matthew Bowans and Jennifer Fettig were partners for the day, shot during what was supposed to be a routine traffic stop early that morning.

Why did the guy jump out and start shooting? Were there warrants? Was he on PCP? :shrug:

2. My prayers are with the firends and families

of these two fine officers. It's a terrible loss for Detroit and the nation. I do hope that Michigan has a very special place for this criminal - preferably one that involves potassium chloride.

Does MI have the death penalty? If not, perhaps Marshall could be housed in a unit short on punks.

No death penalty. We let them breath in their deadened state. And, may they live each day in the personal hell they created for themselves.

4. I never understood where the term

"routine traffic stop" came from. There is nothing routine about a traffic stop. The two biggest killers of cops are traffic stops and domestic disturbances.
