Flint Mich Store clerk kills would-be robber
A deadly shooting inside a Flint market, where the store clerk killed someone trying to rob him.

It happened around 12:30 this afternoon at Jules Market in the 2200 block of Lewis on Flint's east side.

One person is dead. Police are still looking for a second suspect - the person with him trying to rob the store.

It's not clear if he was shot.

2. I think the waste of life is tragic, but the fault lies solely with the guy who got shot.
It's frustrating for me because "current events" stories posted without some kind of comment or contextual cue to tie them to the designated forum topics are technically off-topic. OTOH most threads about shootings end up in this forum anyway.

4. I suppose so, but an OP is so much richer if the person who posts it adds some perspective
Rather than just posting a news story.

6. Occupational hazard?
I'm sure the would-be unemployed robbers were just trying to get some money to buy groceries to put food on the table for their family, not to buy drugs or anything sinister like that.

7. The robber knew the job was dangerous when he took it.
No one in their right mind walks into a store with intentions of armed robbery (is there any other kind?) and thinks; "There's no way this could go wrong for me".
