Gun advocates countering NYC mayor in Milwaukee-Guns Save Lives Truck
Edited on Thu Mar-03-11 05:56 PM by RamboLiberal
Gun rights advocates are driving a rolling billboard to downtown Milwaukee Thursday, to "counter billionaire New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s campaign of fear against Badger State gun owners."

Bloomberg is part of Mayors Against Illegal Guns which has its own billboard truck cruising around the country with the message that 34 Americans are murdered by guns every day.

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms has a truck too, It's message? "Guns Save Lives." The truck and gun rights supporters, including Nik Clark of Wisconsin Carry, Inc., plan to be at the corner of Wisconsin Ave. and Water St. over the noon hour Thursday.

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is visiting Milwaukee on Thursday at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Water Street at noon to counter billionaire New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's campaign of fear against Badger State gun owners.

Bloomberg has teamed up with Mayors Against Illegal Guns to send a moving billboard truck around the country claiming that 34 Americans are "murdered with guns every day." CCRKBA Chairman Alan M. Gottlieb said Bloomberg's campaign "tells less than half of a story, so on Thursday we're setting the record straight in Wisconsin with the help of Nik Clark from Wisconsin Carry."

"We're answering Bloomberg's flash with genuine substance," he explained. "We're telling people what Bloomberg isn't telling them. Guns save between 800,000 and 2.5 million lives annually. That's 2,100 to 6,800 people every day who successfully use firearms to defend themselves, or prevent a criminal attack. In the majority of those incidents, no shots are fired, and nobody is injured or killed. In some cases where shots are fired by armed citizens, several lives are saved."

1. K&R- GOOD! Bloomberg is a liar and has repeatedly violated the law in his own state and others
trying to entrap people. He loudly announced the prosecution of several PA gun shop owners for illegal sales to "undercover" agents from NY state...but there was no such public announcement when charges were dropped against all but one of them because the reports of illegal sales were not true.

He wants to be President, and is looking for free publicity.

3. Anti-fact unreccers out in force!

Personally, I would be interested to see the fallout of an outright gun-ban nationwide. It'd be about as effective as a ban on abortion... except there would wind up being more victims.
