WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — A Utah high school student faces criminal charges after police say he fired shots near school property and brought the gun into the school.

The Deseret News reports the student at Hunter High School in West Valley City discharged a firearm in a field west of the school and then entered the school.

The high school was placed under a lockdown for more than two hours while police searched for the gun.

Police say the student was arrested in the parking lot. Officers also found a handgun in a garbage can inside the school.

1. The abundance of guns makes stories like this inevitable. Turn off the spigot.

2. The abundance of stupid people makes this happen. You want to kill them all
ban stupid people. to stupid to vote, drive, or eat.

Maybe we should tie tubes at 10 and untie only with state permission. You know after the IQ of mother and father meet or exceed 140.

Quit advocating for more gun control and people will quit rushing out to buy new guns! It's really that simple.

If violent crime keeps dropping, people will feel less need to own guns, and they'll slowly diminish from circulation.

As it is now, the Brady Bunch are the best gun sales advocates this nation has ever seen!
