Bill Offering Leniency For Guns at School Killed (yay!)
http://www.kulr8.com/news/local/Bill-Offering-Leniency-For-Guns-at-School-Killed-116537243.html

House committee is stopping a bill to make allowances for bringing guns on school grounds.

House Bill 558, which was tabled in committee Friday, would have no longer made it a requirement to expel a student who brings a gun to school and proposed that guns locked in a vehicle on school grounds do not qualify as a violation. The bill follows outcry over the suspension of a Columbia Falls High School student in December after she brought an unloaded rifle to school in the trunk of her car.

2. Good. Agree completely that "there are some places where guns just don't belong, especially schools"

I think it should be most public places.

6. Actually I think the majority of the 303,820,798 who don't carry would prefer you leave em at home.

7. Sure, that's why they've repealed CCW - where?
You're just another one of those guys that has convinced themselves that everybody really thinks just like you do. (But, but everyone I know voted for McGovern!)

If that really was the case then at least one state would have repealed it's CCW laws, or at the very least toughened them up. But the trend is clearly toward loosening restrictions, from may issue to shall issue to no permit.

So I wouldn't go counting the rest of America's gun owners as agreeing with you and a handful or the Fudds out there. Nothing in recent or proposed legislation says you're right.

3. So much for the rifle team...
Sort of like how the state of California hates the Olympics...
