While Some Lawmakers Talk Gun Control, Others Pack Heat
While some lawmakers are responding to the mass shooting in Arizona by introducing legislation to increase gun control or asking for additional security, others say they're going to start exercising their Second Amendment rights and carry weapons.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, had a permit for a concealed weapon before the Arizona incident that killed six and wounded 14, including Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Chaffetz Press Secretary Alisia Essig told Fox News that Chaffetz has carried his gun to different events back in his district and plans to do so more often in the future.

A spokesman for Rep. Heath Shuler, D-N.C., said the congressman who challenged Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for her spot atop the House Democratic Caucus also has a conceal and carry permit and expects to carry a gun more often.

Senator Charles Schumer has an unrestricted gun license in New York. Dianne Feinstein is also another famous "Me not Thee" gun control advocate.

But it's not new. Sen. Thomas Dodd, father to Sen. Chris Dodd, famously had a Colt Pocket Model pistol fall from his coat to the floor of the United States Senate. What made the incident noteworthy is Sen Dodd was a leading voice for a nationwide handgun ban in Fifties and Sixties and the incident occurred while pushing through his legislation which eventually became the Gun Control Act of 1968.

At least you could argue while they are hypocrites at least they were carrying legally.

Can't say that about the Washington Post's Carl Rowan. Rowen used an unregistered, illegal gun to shoot a kid swimming in his DC backyard pool.

"Million Mom March" has fared even worse for high visibility hypocrisy.

In January of 2000, one of the organizers of the Washington D.C. chapter shot and paralyzed a man whom she wrongly believed had killed her son. When police searched her home, they found three handguns and a Tec-9 "assault weapon." She received a life sentence on nine charges, including illegal possession of a firearm

In 2005, the president of the Springfield, IL chapter of the Illinois chapter of the Million Mom March was arrested by Springfield police and agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on gun and drug charges.

4. Let's not forget
Rosie O' Donnell who is against gun ownership but has armed bodyguards for her and her family.

Guns cause crime like spoons cause Rosie O' Donnell to be fat.
