My wife is watching an old episode of "A Team"....
I think it is making me anti-gun!

A bunch of wanted felons with full auto weapons who shoot them anywhere they please with no legal consequenses or no thought of injuring any bystanders...just like every one of us who really carry guns would REALLY want to do!

Oh, and the acting really sucked, too...

2. I used to watch it on occasion when it was new, and I thought it was funny then...
either I got more sophisticated or TV got better over those years - the show really sucks!

9. Killed? I don't think anyone actually got shot.
Unless it was one of the stars and they were using it as the plot.

13. That was one of the studio's rules: no one gets shot.

6. I'm bothered by all the movies
out there that show good guys and bad guys opening up and shooting away, oblivious to the presence of otherwise innocent people.

Oh, and I really hate it when the bad guys miss what ought to be (hard for me to judge since I never fire guns myself) easy shots, and the good guys get the bad guys, no matter how out-numbered.

But then, expecting reality from Hollywood is silly of me.

12. There is no such thing as "An easy shot"
Try and hit a bullseye from 10 feet. Now, have that bullseye move, feint, stop, jerk THEN try and hit it.

No such thing as an "easy shot"

14. I realize that I know as little
as a person can possibly know about guns and shooting and hitting things. So I stand corrected. I think what I'm trying to say is that they make it look as if "easy shots" are missed by the bad guys, and "difficult shots" are made by the good guys. I am happy to take your word for it.

15. Don't forget...
to give that bullseye a gun so it can be shooting back at you. That means that you have to be moving and feinting too.

8. You must see a different A Team, I never saw them hit anybody
I always wondered how they got out of a war alive.

10. You can fire 10,000 rounds and never injure a bystander...
but hit a car with a .22-caliber, copper-jacket, lead-core bullet, and an explosion blows the car twenty feet in the air.

Only in TVland...

11. I always said the A-Team guys were the best shots in the world
To be able to fire an automatic weapon into a crowd of people and not hit a single one demonstrates a mastery of weapon control.

16. Don't forget
They were using AC556's the full auto version of Ruger's Mini-14. The only rifle an AK-47 stands a chance of beating in bench rest competition.
