They do a good job of training there, but their business model relies heavily on hard selling.

23. From what I hear,

they give great training. I know a couple of people who have been through their courses and really liked the content and came away feeling like their skills had really improved. That said, every one of them has also mentioned that they're pushy about getting you to buy into the hype and that it's clearly a business machine as well as a training facility.

So maybe the guy's a shmuck, but if they give good training....well shit, I'd go if I had the cash to fly out there and take a class or two!

24. Changing the image of gun ownership is what he claims to be one of his

main concerns, but he'll never accomplish that with the RW commentary that appears in his e-mails. (I received them for a time.) It's astounding that he actually thinks he can bring D's and I's into his fold with his rhetoric, but no more astounding than the dim thinking on the part of the control forces on our team. But I've heard good things about the training he offers from sources I respect.

And yeah..........that moniker he's given himself is pretty putrid.

his course, if you can get past the RW crap it really is a very good and demanding course. Luckily I live just about 15 miles from the facility so getting there was no problem for me.

I signed up for Piazza'a e-mails a while back; that lasted less than 48 hours before the incessant barrage annoyed me enough to pull the plug on that.

Think I'll stick with Marty & Gila Hayes for my training, though; I can without feeling I'm at an Amway recruitment session while I'm trying to focus on shooting. And hopefully I'll manage to scrape together the dough to take Mas Ayoob's annual session of LFI-1 at FAS before he retires.
