He was shot in the leg while getting into his car in an alley, police said.
But...

"But police didn't buy the story and say they latter determined that Ortiz actually shot himself." FAIL

"Ortiz finally admitted the gun went off in his pocket when he got into the car along with his 3-year old son." DOUBLE and TRIPLE FAIL

"Ortiz threw the gun into a nearby trash can, according to police, who said they recovered it and learned it had been stolen." COVERUP FAIL

"Ortiz was treated and released at St. John's, then arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment, possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a stolen firearm."

I only feel bad for the child...

But this Ortiz guy made me giggle a bit.

1. All we can hope is that another FAIL is added
and that a paternity test is done and we discover Ortiz also failed to breed.

3. I have to concur
The only reason I'm not laughing is because I have a three year-old son myself. But when I carry, I use a retention holster.
